I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
